Ferndale Repertory Theatre Youth Musical Theater. Workshops for 7- to 18-year-olds culminating in a performance showcase. Students to experience a variety of musical theater activities, assisted by actors, dancers and musicians who have performed at FRT and other local theaters. 1) Music – vocalization, vocal technique, pitch/ear training, ensemble and solo singing, 2) Theatre – stage presence, improvisation, staging, group and individual skits and monologues, 3) Dance – flexibility/movement, jazz, basic swing and contemporary styles for groups and individuals. Workshop will run over a two-week period: Ages 7-12: 9am – noon Mon-Fri; Ages 13-18: 1pm – 4pm Mon-Fri; Plus one evening performance. Cost is $150 (scholarships available).
